Compliantcloud Business Development Specialist

Summary of Role

The CompliantCloud Sales Executive has an important role in the development of the Odyssey VC business goals and will be required to exercise initiative, drive and enthusiasm in achieving these goals.

This position will be responsible for generating sales to support the CompliantCloud product and will ensure future business opportunities are continuously identified and targeted.

Main Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Work alongside the Digital Marketing Team to develop inbound sales pipeline.
  • Responsibility for taking the existing CompliantCloud business plans and building new targets and business into the plan
  • Working closely with the CMO to develop business plans
  • Understand the customer requirements of LifeSciences Corporations and offer Cloud Computing Solutions & Services tailored to their needs
  • Develop new potential business and build a strategic pipeline
  • Drive promotions and campaigns with excellent communication
  • Manage targets and KPIs to input to sales and marketing strategy
  • Working alongside other managers and team members to increase sales opportunities


Person Specification 

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals.

  • Excellent track record of Cloud sales and technical solutions for highly regulated customers
  • Able to use interpersonal skills to establish key customer relationships, identify business opportunities and have an ability to convince prospects of the value of a service
  • Proven organisation and planning experience
  • Extensive experience in researching and identifying new business opportunities
  • Able to establish and maintain extensive knowledge of market conditions
  • Solution driven with ability to execute quickly
  • Strong problem resolution, judgement and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable with remote sales, via phone and video conference
  • Excellent presentation skills with ability to present to all levels
  • Strong customer focus ethos
  • Self-starter with strong analytical, innovative and achievement capabilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Accuracy / Attention to detail

Education & Experience

  • Recognized business-related third level Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 year’s experience in a sales role
  • Strong technical sales experience.
  • Able to travel freely within UK / EU and USA, with full and clean valid Irish driving licence
  • Experience in working by and exceeding targets


  • Engineering or Science degree qualification preferred.
